Hello and welcome to the website for Victoria Park Singers, a friendly, vibrant community choir in Hackney. If you love singing and want to improve your skills and learn new music, we’d love to invite you to join us

Led by Hannah Brine, the choir launched in April 2013 and quickly grew to 100 members. There are no auditions and new singers are very welcome. Please read the FAQs page for more details.

Songs are carefully selected to offer something for everyone; from pop to gospel, classical to jazz and folk. The choir meets on Wednesdays during term time from 7-8.30pm, at the Lauriston Primary School, 55 Rutland Rd, London E9 7JS.

Buses 277 or 425 from Mile End tube station (or a 15 minute walk)
277 from Hackney Central station, Islington and Dalston Junction.
20 minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station.

There are performances and social events through out the year, including weekly drinks in a local pub after rehearsals. We are very proud to be a very community minded choir – we regularly support local charities such as the Bow Food Bank, Ingeenium & St Joseph’s Hospice, as well larger charities such as Water Aid and Amnesty International. We have raised over £20,000 for charity.

We have performed at venues including Rich Mix (Bethnal Green), St John of Jerusalem, Victoria Park’s Big Gig, The Idea Store (Whitechapel), Union Chapel (Islington), the Southbank Centre and Trafalgar Square.

Visit the FAQs page to find out term dates and fees.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my first session – very much looking forward to the next one! I was made to feel really welcome and it felt wonderful singing again – should have done this ages ago!
